Romano’s Macaroni Grill

Romano’s Macaroni Grill

December 13, 2010

Midway through a shopping day in the States, I wanted to go to P.F. Changs because no one ever wants to go with me to try it. I almost had a willing companion, but sadly it was packed, and it would have been a 30 minute wait. So, we walked back towards Macaroni Grill, and were seated immediately.

Avenue Bread and Cafe in Bellingham

Avenue Bread and Cafe in Bellingham

August 22, 2010

I’ve gone to the States and more specifically Bellingham for almost my entire life. I wish I knew about this place before! Avenue Bakery is an awesome bakery and breakfast joint just off of the Sunset exit on I5 (the same exit to go to K-Mart, or Panda Express). We were on our way to Cannon Beach, so we wanted a good quick breakfast to start the day.

Brown Bag Cafe

A few weeks ago I went to visit Wheel in Kirkland. I asked him to take me to Brown Bag Cafe, the place he discovered recently and raved so much about. He told me about the portion size here, and it was only described as gigantic. Breafkast/brunch is my favorite meal, gigantic breakfast/brunch, I had to see it myself.

I stopped by Yogu San during a shopping trip to Bellis Fair Mall in Bellingham, Washington. This place was sort of like Qoola Frozen Yogurt & Fruit from Vancouver. They sell frozen yogurts with fruit toppings.

The Fork at Agate Bay

The MePlusFood team goes to the States every once in a while, and this time we made sure that we ate out at a few places. Our first stop on the trip was the Fork at Agate Bay. It was quite a drive and pretty scenic as a lot of the drive is along the coast. A lot of nice houses here with docks to the water! Jealous!

China House Restaurant in Auburn

China House Restaurant in Auburn

April 07, 2010

We got to the China House restaurant in Auburn right when it opened at 12PM. It wasn’t very busy as there were just two other tables that came in to eat while we were there. Looking at the menu they had some lunch time deals with many dishes costing just $6-7. That’s pretty cheap for a whole plate of food.

Mi Mexico in Bellingham

After a VERY long day of shopping in the USA this past weekend, I just found out that my friend really likes Mexican food. Being in Washington, I knew there were a lot of Mexican restaurants around, but being about 9PM, I wasn’t sure what was open.

I went to Thai Ginger just over 2 weeks ago for lunch with some coworkers. My expectations for this place weren’t too high because it was lunch, and at this point I would have devoured Twinkies doused with curry.

I went to Peking Chinese Restaurant for a quick lunch today. When I got to the restaurant, I was a little confused because Wheel had told us that we were going to a Korean place for some Korean noodles.

Cucina! Cucina! Italian restaurant with mediocre pasta

Cucina! Cucina! Italian restaurant with mediocre pasta

Cucina! Cucina! is an Italian restaurant that kind of seems like a chain restaurant, but their website only shows the one location in Issaquah, Washington. There’s just something about the decor (and the food) of the restaurant that makes it seem like it would have multiple locations. I put this restaurant under Bellevue, because it’s about 15 minutes away, and I don’t want to make a new category for Issaquah.

George’s Place for big fat greek breakfast

George’s Place for big fat greek breakfast

George’s Place is a busy restaurant in downtown Kirkland, Washington. I walked into this place because the restaurant that I was originally going to go for brunch was closed that day.

This place is pretty big, and busy. Once I got seated (almost right away after I walked in), I noticed there’s always people walking around, in and out the restaurant. That’s a good sign I guess, to have a active crowd in a restaurant.
