Good Friends

This weekend we had some really tasty Korean food at Good Friends in Coquitlam. Starving and in a hurry for lunch, my friends and I ordered Rice cake with Ramen, Soft Tofu Soup, Bibimbap, and Seafood Pancake.

While trying to rent paddle boards in Maui, the shop guy recommended Paia Fish Market in Paia for food. We did end up stopping by this restaurant after our trip to the bamboo forest for a late lunch.

One of my good friends recommended that we try Chewies Steam and Oyster Bar if we are into seafood. She mentioned that it is very similar to Rodney’s Oyster House. Since I am already a fan of Rodney’s Oyster House, I was excited to take on this new food adventure.

And the snowboarding season for 2012/2013 finally begins! After our first day of riding at Cypress Mountain, our friend suggested we bring our very hungry selves to have dim sum at Happy Valley Seafood Restaurant.

I decided to try a new sushi place in New Westminster. I found this place on urbanspoon and invited Beipas. However, either of us have heard of Victoria Sushi before. It is probably because the restaurant is pretty secluded and does not receive a lot of drive-by exposure. It is also quite far away from the sky train station and is strangely situated in an area full of residential apartments.

Once again we got to try out the newest dining package from VanEats. This time they teamed up with Whet Kitchen + Bar in Granville Island, featuring Whet your appetite, a 4 item dining package.

After missing 4 ChineseBites dinners, I finally made it to my first, and week five’s ChineseBites dinner at Grand Dynasty Seafood Restaurant. At this dinner, we tasted 7 of the restaurant’s signature dishes.

Pajo’s is probably the most popular Fish & Chips place in BC. They have many locations in Metro Vancouver, all of which have a nice view of the water. We tried the Port Moody location this past weekend. It was my first visit to Pajo’s, but Beipas’ second.

Once again, we were invited to try out Vaneat.ca‘s new dining package CRAY-VINGS at Cray Kitchen and Bar.
Cray kitchen and bar specializes in Louisiana style seafood, which we don’t have many in Vancouver. The $18.5 dinning package includes 1/2 lb of crawfish, 1/2 lb of shrimp, 3 piece cod nuggets, 2 deep fried oysters and cajun fries.

Boiling Crab!! Where should i begin? The shrimp, the crawfish, the crabs, the oysters, the cajun wings!!
Everything they offer is great! Everyone one have their favorite items at Boiling Crab.

My first dinner at San Francisco was at Scoma’s by the Fisherman’s Wharf, it was a seafood restaurant highly recommended by our cab driver.
I have to admit, this place was a little touristy, but which place by the fisherman’s wharf isn’t? On the table the 4 of us had Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, Lobster ravioli, and a Hot Sampler Trio.

I’ve seen a lot of Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurants all over California, and maybe even a few in Mexico. Being pretty much a completely seafood restaurant, I was a bit hesitant to go in. I knew I only had a two or three things on the menu that I could eat. I went anyway.
