Wild Wing, a popular franchise restaurant in Ontario, opened it’s first BC location in Surrey a couple weeks ago. This place is really good for watching sports because there have lots of TVs all around the restaurant. We were there for UFC 159, and were super lucky to be seated right away at the packed restaurant; totally walked it at the right time.
Another weekend, another beer sampler. We were in Seattle this past weekend visiting our friend, and McMenamins is right across the street.
Just before going to the Canucks game, Dee and I walked into Back Forty for a quick dinner. This place seemed like a popular pub/restaurant for hockey game goers. The menu consists of lots of BBQ items, but either of us got anything BBQ for dinner.
Elysian Brewing Co. is a brewery/pub in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. Strangely enough, I had purchased a few of their bottles from a small boutique wine shop in Bellingham just hours before. We came to celebrate a friend’s belated birthday and new job.
Big River Restaurant is located right beside Silvercity Coquitlam and is attached to a bowling alley. Before watching the Dark Knight Rises, we decided to have dinner here first.
Before going to Rogers Arena to choose our seats for this upcoming hockey season *crosses fingers*, we needed to kill some time and have some food. We chose Pivo Public House because it’s so close to the stadium. I’ve been past here a few times, and at times it is really busy, especially when their’s a big sporting event on. This time, it was really dead with just a big group on the patio, and one table inside.
On Saturday, me and a couple of friends were looking for a place to watch the UFC Jones vs Evans PPV fight. At first we went to Green Timbers Pub right by my house which normally shows the UFC, but for some reason they weren’t that day. So we quickly drove to the next closest place at Fleetwood Arms. Like most pubs, you seat yourself, and try to get the best view of the TV screens. We ended up sitting in the patio.
I was at The Burrard Public House with my friends during our dinner break on board games day. Because we hadn’t eaten since breakfast at Cora, we arrived at the pub at 5pm-ish, and not too surprisingly, the pub was quite empty at this time.
Last week we had the pleasure of joining many bloggers and media to try out the new menu at Doolins. We were invited by Pearl Lam of the Granville Entertainment Group.
This past weekend we decided to watch the hockey game at Brown’s Social House in Surrey. I’ve been to the Browns that used to be in Yaletown and enjoyed the food. This place was pretty busy this Saturday night because of the hockey game which was Cody Hodgson’s return as a Buffalo Sabre.
We caught one of the Canucks games at River’s Reach Pub in New Westminster. Just like any other times we visit a pub to watch the Canucks game, we ordered a bunch of food to share.

Our table shared a pound of Honey Garlic Chicken wings, it was surprisingly good. The wings were in decent size, the outer part was crispy and the meat were nice and juicy.
