After Dee missed out on our really great experience at Hapa Izakaya on Robson, we finally had the chance to bring him to our next Hapa Izakaya destination: Hapa Izakaya Yaletown.

Manzo Itamae in Richmond
There are two Manzo Japanese Restaurants in Richmond. One on “Food Street” aka Alexandra Rd, and the other on Garden City and Capstan. Today, I went to the one on Capstan which Urban Spoon lists as an Itamae (the other is Izakaya). Can someone tell me what the difference is?
Guu Garden Vancouver pretty guuuud!
Guu Garden is the latest in the Guu’s restaurant line up. It’s located on Nelson and Hornby, but it’s a bit tricky to find the entrance. The bitch hostess at Relish showed us how to get there. She claimed I should’ve seen the “big sign”. Look at the gallery to see how big the Guu Garden sign is. And I didn’t even walk to the other side of the building.
Hapa Izakaya quality food, trendy atmosphere
Hapa Izakaya is probably one of the better places for Japanese tapas in Vancouver. This is one of my favorite izakaya restaurants.
I went to their Robson location with a party of 5, and we were offered a really nice big round table to sit at. The seating was spacious, and the furniture was really nice with dark wood tables and cushioning seats.
