Brunetti, Melbourne, Australia

Shortly after settling in our hotel, our friend brought us to a dessert lovers dream – Brunetti on Lygon Street. It’s open fairly late, and was very busy. You can tell it’s very popular and there’s good reason.

I had a strong craving for pasta the other day and made spontaneous decision to checkout Aldo’s Pasta Bar in New Westminster.

Campagnolo Roma is one of the restaurant that has been on my wish list for a long time. I finally made it here for dinner with some friends over the Victoria Day long weekend.

On our first meal at Whistler this past weekend we ate at Pasta Lupino. It’s a pretty small Italian restaurant but it seemed like a fairly popular place. It’s not too expensive (for Whistler) at about $15 for their entrees during dinner time. Lunch time is quite a bit cheaper, but I’m not sure what the difference in portion sizes are.

Last night I went to my first Dine Out Vancouver meal of 2012. Me and two friends tried each of the 3 courses on their $38 menu. The restaurant actually isn’t that big, but still has room for an open kitchen, and a bar with TVs to watch the hockey game.

I wanted a fancy-ish place to try in the Philippines, so while walking around Greenbelt, we finally decided on Zuni.

Last week before I went to see the Canucks game, Dee and I grabbed a quick dinner at Verace Pizzeria.
The restaurant is very conveniently located at stadium station, right beside the T&T supermarket. Honestly, I have walked by this pizzeria, and never knew it existed until now.

Italian Kitchen is one of the last few Glowbal Group restaurants that MePlusFood hasn’t been to yet. We just need to go to Coast and the newly opened Black and Blue. This is the more expensive version of their other Italian restaurant, Trattoria, on West 4th, with Pastas ranging from about $16 – 25.
We were invited to taste some menu items at Cosca by Ronald Lee at Eat Marketing. Cosca is a newer Italian restaurant on Denman. Walking in you can see it’s a very intimate. There’s about 20 seats in there in one long row, and some room at the bar. It’s kind of dimly lit with a somewhat open kitchen at the back. It’s also very popular with the locals.

Our first dinner in Napa was at Uva Trattoria. It wasn’t on my list of places to eat, but I was craving Italian food, as that was one thing we haven’t had yet on this vacation. This was a pretty laid back Italian restaurant that has a live band playing in the restaurant. It was lively though, with lots of people there and a few birthdays.

Shortly after telling my coworker I wanted to go to San Francisco, she quickly told me about what she recently saw on an episode of the Best Thing I Ever Ate, meat episode There was this thing called the Leg of Beast at Incanto (see video below). The caveat though is that the guy who said it was the best thing he ever ate is partners with the restaurant’s chef on Chef vs City. The video made it look so delicious though.

My friend told me about Aaron’s pizza probably almost a year ago, but I’ve rarely been in the area. It’s just off the main street of downtown Cloverdale. I had tried to go here a few weeks before but they were closed off for a private function.
