Kiriri Japanese Cuisine

Kiriri Japanese Cuisine

March 01, 2012

I am on this awesome roll with finding authentic Japanese restaurants. After Tokyo Thyme and Kishimoto, my new favorite Japanese spot in Richmond is now Kiriri Japanese Cuisine.

First time I visited, I went for lunch with my sister. I ordered their chef’s lunch special at $24. The lunch set came with 10 components including the so very awesome black sesame creme brûlée dessert. This was definitely worth the price if you feel like spoiling yourself.

Boneta

Boneta

June 03, 2011

This visit has been a LONG time coming. I first visited Boneta during a cocktail tour with Vancouver Food Tour. This was tops on my list of places to go to, and some how it took me almost a year to finally dine here. It seemed like an awesome place to dine, with a really cool vibe. Maybe I was waiting for too special of an occasion.

Brunch at Lola, Seattle

Brunch at Lola, Seattle

May 06, 2011

My first brunch of 2011 was at Lola in Seattle. I have heard about Lola long before I finally visited because wheel is a regular customer, and he’d always spam me with food pictures every time he visits.

Hubbub Sandwiches

Hubbub Sandwiches

April 06, 2011

Yesterday morning I woke up to a message from a friend who raved about these sandwiches that he had tried the night before, and that I must go and try them myself. I happened to be in the Hubbub Sandwiches hood yesterday, so I decided to go there for lunch.

This sandwich joint is super new. The decore was simple, modern, and fun. They also had really good taste in music, I already liked the place before I tried the sandwiches.

Pagliacci’s

Pagliacci’s

October 06, 2010

Pagliacci’s is one of the most popular Italian restaurants in Victoria. We went in earlier in the day to try to book a reservation, but they don’t take reservations for parties smaller than 6 on Saturdays. When we got there at around 7, the line went out the front door, and it really reminded me of Anton’s here in Vancouver. The line was quite long and was packed inside, but it moved pretty fast. They really make use of every square inch of space. Really crowded.

Nice Cafe, Nice Breakfast

Nice Cafe, Nice Breakfast

August 25, 2010

Nice Cafe is a little breakfast joint in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver. This place had an atmosphere of a diner. We were seated right away, but were were seated at a row of tables for 2 that were placed so close together, it could almost be a long table. I could literally reach over to the next table to grab the ketchup without extending my arm fully. It gets cozy if you’re not sitting at a booth.

Avenue Bread and Cafe in Bellingham

Avenue Bread and Cafe in Bellingham

August 22, 2010

I’ve gone to the States and more specifically Bellingham for almost my entire life. I wish I knew about this place before! Avenue Bakery is an awesome bakery and breakfast joint just off of the Sunset exit on I5 (the same exit to go to K-Mart, or Panda Express). We were on our way to Cannon Beach, so we wanted a good quick breakfast to start the day.

Bunk Sandwiches

Bunk Sandwiches

August 13, 2010

I first learned about Bunk Sandwiches on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives on the food channel. Guy Fieri makes an excellent sandwich salesman.

Like always, when I’m excited about eating at a new restaurant, I wanted to try everything. I got 2 sandwiches for myself, and they were the Local Tomato, and Meatball Parmigiano Hero. Dee and our friend got the Pork Belly Cubano and Tuna Melt.

Ah-Beetz Pizza

August 06, 2010

After a couple pizza reviews on MePlusFood, we got quite a few responses from other food bloggers telling us to go try Ah-Beez pizza in Abbotsford. Abbotsford is quite a drive out, but we finally set out minds and made it to Ah-Beetz a couple weeks ago.

After watching 4th of July fireworks, my friends and I hopped into a cab and asked the cab driver to bring us to “The best deep dish pizza in town”. The cab driver dropped us off at Gino’s East and reassured us, that this place has the best pizza in Chicago.
