A friend of mine heard good things about Master Hung BBQ Restaurant in Richmond, and while we were in the city, we went for a quick lunch.
Lunch specials here ranges from $7 – $9 mostly consists some sort of meat on rice. Wanted to try as many things, my friend ordered 3 kinds of meat (BBQ pork, soy chicken, and roasted pork) on rice. I on the other hand, usually not a fan of Chinese BBQ, had a Special Chicken on Rice.
The Boss Restaurant has been around for a long time. Located inside Metrotown Mall in Burnaby, it was an ideal place to go for a quick break from shopping and grab a bite to eat.
My personal “Best Steak I Ever Had” was at Del Frisco’s in Las Vegas. My friend said his was at Peter Luger Steak House in Brooklyn, NY.
My friend has been talking about this Taiwanese restaurant in Richmond with awesome popcorn chicken that his friends brought him to. Last week it was my turn to try it out. They were hyping it up a lot!
So my friends have been talking about breakfast at Yummy Sushi for the past couple years, and they’re always shocked that I haven’t been there yet. Well guys, why don’t you ever take me there?
I’ll admit that I’m not much of a ramen lover. I usually find it way to salty for my liking. I’ve only had ramen a couple times at a couple of the Benkei locations, and it was only okay. I don’t know if I’ve ever craved ramen. G-men Ramen is run by the people who also do Gyoza King on Robson (which I also really need to try). The tables were all busy at dinner time so we sat at the front counter.
A few days ago I went to get some lunch at Hawker’s Delight on Main street. With a huge sign on the outside of the restaurant, I was quite surprised by how small the restaurant was.
Finally, the long awaited Japadog on Robson opened. We joined the opening day rush, and visited it right after work. We got there at a really good time for dinner. Since it was opening day, we were already expecting a big line up, but to our surprise there were not any when we got there. There was only 1 lady in front of us. However, this lady in front of us, took 15 minutes to order 2 hot dogs, therefore the line up was formed once again.
Japadog on Burrard & Smithe has been around for a few years now, and it is probably the only hot dog vendor that I get street hot dogs from in Vancouver.
After 2 attempts of trying to get seats at the infamous Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, I finally made it! I was there on a Tuesday night, and Tuesdays seem to be the day to visit this ramen joint without any line ups. I assume that goes the same with the rest of the weekdays except Friday.
I came across Kaaloa’s Super J’s or simply just Super J’s when my friends and I were searching for true Hawaiian cuisine. This place has got a lot of positive reviews on Yelp, so we were really curious on checking this place out.
My friend brought me to Lao Shan Dong (aka LSD) last night. It was my first actual Taiwanese Beef Noodle experience, and I’d say I was pleasantly surprised. I’d normally be a pho guy, and have realized that I’m not much of a ramen lover. Anyways, we got there and there was some covered parking, though it was packed at 7PM when we got there. It’s quite tight in that parking lot.
