Yogu-San Frozen Yogurt

I stopped by Yogu San during a shopping trip to Bellis Fair Mall in Bellingham, Washington. This place was sort of like Qoola Frozen Yogurt & Fruit from Vancouver. They sell frozen yogurts with fruit toppings.

There were 2 standard yogurts they sell all the time, Original and Green Tea. They also had a couple other flavors as the special flavors of the month. Last month Taro was their flavor of the month. I was interested in trying Taro flavored frozen yogurt, so I got a small Taro yogurt with Mangoes and Coconut flakes.

The Taro Yogurt itself was creamy, and less acidic than I would’ve liked. The taro flavor was very subtle, but definitely there, even with the mangoes and coconut on top. It was very nice actually. Now you probably think, Taro, Mangoes, and Coconut, what a weird combination. It turned out to be pretty tasty. The mangoes were sweet, fresh and soft, the coconut flakes were not dry, and the hardness of the flakes was a really good texture against the smoothness of the yogurt and the mangoes. The 3 flavors that didn’t seem like they belong to each other blended together quite well. It was a nice surprise.

The over quality of the yogurt wasn’t was nice as Qoola Frozen Yogurt & Fruit but definitely better than Yogen Früz. The staff working there was really helpful on explaining their product. It’s a great place to stop by and get a treat from shopping at the mall.
