The Kaboom Box
I was on Robson street strolling with a couple friends and in need of a late afternoon snack. My friend suggested The Kaboom box which was just on Granville and Robson.
Knowing that I’ll have dinner soon, I decided to just get an Oyster Po’boy and share it with my friend. This sandwich ain’t cheap, at $8 I was expecting something somewhat awesome, but unfortunately, it wasn’t.
We asked the guys to cut our sandwich in half, and as soon as I picked up my half of the sandwich, I was wondering, where’s the oyster? It looked like a mayo sandwich. My first bite was all bun and all mayo. The bun was cold and really needed to be toasted. On my half of the sandwich, I probably got half or maximum 1 oyster and did I mention a lot of mayo?
I was not impressed. For $8, I could get something totally better and satisfying at Finch’s or Hubbub. Never again.
