Tasty Indian Bistro is one the fanciest Indian restaurants I’ve been to. Located on Scott road, the restaurant was like Earls for Indian food, very grand, clean, and modern.
I started the meal with mango lassi, I liked it because it was not too sweet. With a friend, we shared a chicken korma curry, shahi paneer, garlic naan, rice, and vegetable samosas for appetizer.
The curries arrived first and I ate most of it with the fresh garlic naan. The chicken korma had big chunks of chicken breasts, the sauce was rich and creamy, really tasty. The shahi paneer on the other had a more aggressive taste, mainly because we asked for the curry to be spicy; and it was spicy! I enjoyed the heat a lot.
The vegetable samosas arrived about 3 minutes later, it had 2 vegetable samosas, a small bowl of chickpea curry, some cucumber, onion garnish, and a couple chutneys. The samosas were not too greasy, and crispy on the outside. Mainly stuffed with potato, it had a mild hint of spiciness as well.
I was so stuffed after this meal, and there were still more enough leftovers for my lunch and dinner the next day. Value wise, it’s slightly more expensive than other Indian restaurants in Surrey, but it’s a nice place to dine in, and you won’t leave the restaurant smelling like curry either.
