I’ve never been to Dine Out events in the past so I was really excited to be able to go for the first time this year.
Provence Marinaside is only a 3 minute (or less) walk from Yaletown Roundhouse Station on Canadaline. The restaurant was already packed when I arrived for our reservation. As soon as we took a look at the Dine Out menu, our eyes immediately went to Desserts. It said “choice from our menu”. So okay, let’s take a look at their menu … but where’s the dessert section? We asked our waitress and she told us there is a dessert menu which she will give us after finishing our entrees. That was a bit unsettling for our table of dessert lovers. The whole time I kept thinking what they had on the dessert menu.
For appetizer I chose Warm Goat Cheese Salad that consisted of herbes de provence crusted, mixed greens beurre blanc, and balsamic reduction. I really liked the taste of the goat cheese with mixed greens. But the cheese was so rich that it made me feel satiated really fast.
For the entree I chose Bouillabaisse that had west coast style, wild pacific prawns, scallops, mussels, clams and fish with gruyère et la rouille. It has been a while since I had mussels and clams, so after I read it off the menu it made me have a craving for them. The dish had an abundant amount of each seafood item, and I managed to finish them except for the fish which got a bit too salty for me. The scallops were amazing, they didn’t taste like rubber and were very juicy. Other than that, this dish definitely satisfied my impromptu craving for mussels and clams.
The dessert menu actually had quite a few selections: cheesecakes, creme brulee, sorbet, cookies and tea, and cakes. I was really full so I settled for their Creme Brulee. It wasn’t too sweet, and I felt it was a nice dessert to end with.
Service was great; waters refilled efficiently and servers’ attitude were welcoming. I think it was worth $38 and I would like to go back again because other items on the menu seem appealing. I hear their lunch is better so maybe next time I will drop by for lunch.

Woo! i’ve been here for lunch a few years back after a wild go cart event haha, the only thing i remember was the seafood antipasti thing. i’m on my crazy health kick now too, and that goat cheese appy you had sounds like it would be a good choice.
