There’s only one place I go for pho in Richmond, Pho Lan. And the reason is simple, good food.
This place is pretty awesome, almost every time I walked it, I’d get seated right away, but that maybe got to do with the time I go. I usually go around 8pm, and I usually get to pick my seat.
Today I usually get Rare Steak with Beef Balls pho here, but today I tried Rare Steak and Tendon pho with a Spring Roll.
My Rare Steak Tendon pho today was pretty good. The broth tasted good as usual, but a little greasy. There were a fair amount of steak in my noodle soup, and they were really tender. I barely got any tendons though, I think I found 3, so I wasn’t too impressed about that.
They also cook their bean sprouts here, so if you like uncooked sprouts, you’d need to make a request. The sizes come in small or large. Beware of the large, it’s pretty giant, so make sure you are really hungry when you order it.
I always get their Spring Rolls when I come here. They are so yummy. The fillings were minced meat and rice vermicelli. They are always perfectly fried, the outside is always really crispy. I like to douse it in the sauce that comes with it before I eat it. This is a must get when you come here.
Note: Cash Only! Free parking at the back.

[...] Oh BTW, you should swing over and check this recent review of Pho Lan by a new food blogger in town … Me Plus Food. [...]

Best Pho and spring rolls in town!

These pictures must have been taken with the 11-16mm lens, huh? Whew … it is so wide you could take the picture of the entire inside of the restaurant.
Seems like you corrected the WB, is that right? Wanted to learn why … but the pictures sort of lack sharpness. Is it because it was Photoshop’d and then you saved it in a lower quality?
