Everyone knows in Vancouver, when you’re having a ‘meat day’, you go to Memphis Blues BBQ.
I didn’t really have a ‘meat day’ when I visited the Commercial Dr. location, all I know was I really wanted a pulled pork sandwich.
My friends arrived a little after 7pm, and I forgot for a second that we had to order the food at the cashier and find seats ourselves. When I got to the cashier, I ordered a small Pulled Pork Sandwich ($7.95).
The sandwich came to my table in about 5 minutes after I ordered. The sandwich came in a basket with coleslaw and BBQ pit beans. Between the buns, there was a good amount of pulled pork on my sandwich, meat was sitting on a bed of coleslaw, and topped off with a generous amount of BBQ sauce.
The pork was really tender, and moist, and the BBQ sauce was great. I liked the coleslaw in the sandwich, it added a nice crunchy texture. The whole sandwich was moist, it had a bit of sweetness from the BBQ sauce, and the smokiness from the pork. After demolishing the sandwich, my craving was completely satisfied.
The BBQ pit beans on the side was a surprise to me. It was really good. It was smokey, and sweet. The beans were nice and soft, and there were little bits of meat in it too.
My friends ordered a large Pulled Pork Sandwich, and a BBQ Chicken Sandwich. The large pulled pork look the same until you start eating them. The large size has almost double the amount of pork than the small.
The BBQ Chicken sandwich was shredded bbq chicken with bbq sauce. It wasn’t as moist as the pulled pork, but it was still pretty tasty.
This wasn’t the first time I visited the Commercial Dr. location. The last time I was here we had a full on meat fest, it was pretty epic. I went home with a meat headache, but it was worth it.
My favorite meats here were the ribs and the beef briskets, but for a quick bbq craving fix, the pulled pork was a perfect thing to get.

yup that prescilla platter + elvis platter was epic
hopefully I’ll have an elvis platter soon
I was there yesterday for the first time and split the elvis platter with a few friends. It was really good! I arrived sleepy and hungry, left even sleepier and super full!
Dude, yesterday was my turn to go to Memphis Blues (in Cloverdale). And we split the Elvis Platter between 3 people (I though one other person was coming, but didn’t). And OMG so full after, we didn’t finish, there was enough left for one other person. I got a Booster Juice after too, and I was dying and in pain lol.
Definitely got a meat headache after. XBOX breaking after didn’t help my headache either…
