After lunch, we decided to explore more by foot. Shortly after exploring Chinatown, we reached Darling Harbour. The Lindt Chocolat Cafe caught a friends eye, and we decided to check it out.
In Australia, desserts are pretty expensive, with many over $15. Since we just had lunch, we ordered a couple things to share between the three of us. The Lindt Chocolate Waffle with Strawberries, and a White Chocolate Frambroise Cake.
The waffle was crisp but soft inside, but not very thick. They were shaped like hearts that were easily cut into four pieces. The waffle was nice and sweet, and the chocolate was rich, but not too sweet. It was a very good balance. The ice cream was smooth and creamy I enjoyed it with the chocolate and waffle.
The White Chocolate Framboise Cake had layers of cake, white choclate mousse, almonds, and raspberry puree. The cake was light, with nice crisp from the almonds. I like it when the raspberry puree doesn’t have too many seeds, and that was the case here.
It has a nice view of the harbour and a good selection of desserts. There is plenty of space with seating both inside, and outside. They also have a nice selection of macarons.
