Les Madeleines Patisserie, Salt Lake City

On our one day off from snowboarding in Utah, we took the day touring Park City, and running errands in Salt Lake City. It was quite a long day getting from places to places, and we made it to Les Madeleines Patisserie for some much needed caffeine and pastries.

What they are famous for is the Kouing Aman. A pastry tastes like just how it is described: caramelized and crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. It was really unique, and tasty with a cup of coffee. I had this cold, but I can imagine this being super duper yummy fresh out of the oven.


The hazelnut eclair was one of the 3 eclairs in the display case. It was creamy, and not too sweet.


Their coconut macaron was one that I enjoyed a lot. This little cube of coconut pastry had so much coconut in it. I love coconut, and I love this little coconut bomb.


Dave got a pain au chocolate. It was tasty, but not the best I’ve had.


Very nice bakery in Salt Lake City, try the  Kouing Aman if you want something unique.

    The Pain au chocolat wasn’t as flakey and crispy as they have in Bouchon.
