House of Wings
There’s nothing like pigging out on a butt load of wings after an epic day of snowboarding right? Especially when it is cheap wings day.
On Sundays House of Wings have 37 cents wings on special. There were more than 30 flavors of wings, we decided on 7 flavors. Honey Garlic, Cheesy Parmesan, Blue Bomber, Blazin’ Jamaican, Coconut, Salt & Vinegar, and Roasted Red Pepper with Garlic.
Each flavor of wings came on separate plates, and the waitress did a good job on telling us which was which. The wings were generally good, the meat were still relatively moist.
The Blazin’ Jamaican was the spicy one out of the 7 flavors we ordered. It had really good heat, and was just spicy enough. It was one of the 3 I enjoyed the most. I also really like the traditional flavored wings such as the Honey Garlic wings and the Salt & Vinegar wings.
I don’t know if I would say the Coconut wings were a disappointment, because we really didn’t know what to expect. It turned out to be wings with coconut flakes. It was pretty plain, and had very subtle coconut flavor.
Be aware of the Roasted Red Pepper with Garlic wings because they were really really salty. I didn’t taste roasted red pepper, I didn’t taste garlic, there was just too much salt in the seasoning.
One thing that baffles me is how quickly wings fill you up. I was satisfied with my craving for wings. The House of Wings has some pretty interesting special flavors, but we weren’t too impressed with the Coconut and the Roasted Red Pepper. You won’t go wrong by sticking to the traditional flavors.
On another note, we found the wings got cold really fast, especially the really saucy ones. So, even thought it’s really fun to have 100 wings on your table all at once, I’d suggest order as you want more.

The parmesan was very plain and bland too.. basically just sprinkled parmesan cheese on top.. not very cheesy at all. The coconut was really bad too. It was basically a regular chicken wing.
My favourites of the night were the Jamaican, Honey Garlic, and the Blue Bomber. Though, the blue bomber was a bit weird because it came with a brown sauce.
Anna said her Chicken burger was very moist and juicy, and was overall pleased with it. They gave her ketchup that was sitting out for a while though because the top had hardened.
The yam fries were pretty good.
