Harris Avenue Cafe

I never knew Bellingham had an actually downtown area until we stopped by Harris Avenue Cafe for breakfast on our way down to Portland. This area has a few restaurants, including Katie’s cupcakes.

For my breakfast, I enjoyed the Topeka scramble.  It was a two eggs vegetarian scramble with zucchinis, onions, peppers, mushrooms and broccoli, topped with cheddar cheese and served with my choice of sour dough. Even with just vegetables, it was still a delicious and hearty dish.

This was a pretty cool and chill place to come dine for breakfast, seems to be a spot for the locals too.

It is a good cafe, but it’s not in downtown, it’s in Fairhaven, which is a community (used to be a separate town, in the late 1800’s) of Bellingham. Downtown Bellingham is a few miles northwest of the Harris Ave. Cafe, in Bellingham proper.

Hey Roman, we realized that this weekend when we went to Boundary Bay Brewery, and didn’t see Harris Ave. Cafe in the downtown area on google maps 😛
