Glo’s

I went on a camping trip to Cannon beach last weekend, but before we hit the 4 hour drive, we went for breakfast at Glo’s in Seattle.

This tiny breakfast spot was super busy. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we finally got a table. The wait wasn’t that bad, because they had seatings outside, and they gave us coffees while we waited.

After sitting down, we quickly put in our orders, but it wasn’t until about 40 minutes later that we finally got our food; super slow!

Having had a meat fest at The kingfish cafe the night before, I wanted a lighter breakfast. I got the Californian Benny, which had tomato and avocado.

The benedict was delicious. The avocado was more like a guacamole. The eggs were cooked to my style, just runny enough. The hollandaise sauce didn’t feel heavy at all. A side of crispy potatoes were served along with the bennies, as well as a slice of orange.

My friend ordered a smoked salmon omelette. This was my original choice of breakfast, but backed out only because it was a 4-egg omelette. It was tasty as well with smoked salmon, tomato, green onion, sour cream and avocado.

My other 2 friends ordered the special of the day – BLAT omelette. BLAT stands for bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato. Another tasty breakfast as both of friends seemed to really enjoy it.

I liked my breakfast here, but the whole waiting for the food part, it sucked because we needed to get on the road to Cannon beach.
