I first visited Dahlia Bakery on New Years day this year. I grabbed a breakfast sandwich there, and since then this has been the must stop shop for me when I visit Seattle.
This tiny bakery is located right across from Lola and is owned by the same owner, Tom Douglas.
The bakery had muffins, cookies, breads, and really amazing triple coconut cream pie (see brunch at Lola). But besides from their pastries and baked goods, they also have one of the best breakfast sandwiches.
I ordered the Veggie Egg Sandwich the first time, and hasn’t been able to order other breakfast sandwiches because it was so good!
The sandwich had seasonal vegetables, cheddar, and fried egg. Since they use seasonal vegetables, the sandwich is always changing. The first couple times they had arugula, and roasted red peppers, and this time it had asparagus.
This sandwich is always good, I think it’s mostly because of the fresh ingredients and their freshly baked english muffin.
Other choices of the breakfast sandwich were the Bacon Egg Sandwich and Meat Egg Sandwich. The bacon sandwich seemed to be the favorite among my friends.
Besides the sandwich and the triple coconut cream pie, their eclair and strawberry rhubarb eclair were really amazing also. One of my favorite places in Seattle.
