Café Presse

Whenever we visit Seattle, we always have the tendency to eat lunch late because we’d always have a big breakfast. We had a late lunch at Cafe Presse this time knowing most items here are small and we won’t be overly stuffed by dinner time.

My friends were here for the Croque madame. The open sandwich consists of baked ham, gruyere and béchamel; topped with a sunny side up egg, it was pretty awesome.

I had a Sandwich en baguette with liver terrine. The liver terrine was pretty much a pate, and it was smeared all over the baguette with mustard. The pate was delicious and the mustard complimented it really well. There were other choices for Sandwich en baguette such as jambon cru, ham, gruyere, liver terrine, pork rillettes and grilled sardine.

The highlight of our meal was probably the Mousse glacée au citron dessert. It was frozen lemon mousse served with whipped cream, lemon syrup and candied lemon zest. This dessert was refreshing and lemony. I don’t think I’ve ever had frozen mousse, and it was great.

Overall this place had good food and good coffee, it was a good choice for us to get a light meal.
