A few weeks ago, I was craving chocolate cakes. It was late, and I was glad to find Breka Bakery & Cafe, they open 24/7! The small bakery had a huge selection of cakes and pastries. I couldn’t help but order more than what I craved for.
One of the random things I ordered was the bocconcini and baby tomato panini. It was a nice vegetarian sandwich with pesto, olives, tomato, and lots of melting bocconcini cheese.
The German chocolate cake was a super rich, dense, and chocolatey cake. It was everything I was craving for with bonus coconut fillings. It was one awesome cake.
Other pastries I picked up were the lemon bar, and butter pecan bar. The lemon bar was light, fluffy, and not overly sour. The pecan bar was sweet and sticky.
The little cafe has so much more pastry selections that I’d like to try, most of them are European pastries. Now I know where to go when I have a weird cake craving at 11pm.
