Last breakfast of the weekend in Seattle was at Americana in Capitol Hill. They open at 9am, and we made sure we were here to be one of the first to be seated, because it does get really busy here.
My choice of breakfast was corned beef hash, served with really nice roasted potatoes and butternut squash. The highlight of this dish were the poached eggs. I don’t know how they cooked it, the yolks were still raw, but not super runny! Tasty dish, and not too greasy.
My friend ordered the Pork Belly that came with scrambled eggs and corn cakes. This dish looks simple, but this is the must get here. The pork belly was amazing. The skin was crispy, while the meat was super tender. The salty pork was perfect with sweet corn cake and maple syrup. Yummy.
Lots of people on Yelp also raved about their French toasts, so I got a half order of it on the side. It was topped with mix berry compote that day. The french toast itself was mostly crispy with little bit of soft chewy parts inside. It was tasty, but I prefer french toasts that has a thin crispy crust while gooey inside.

This restaurant was very small, but it didn’t feel crammed or busy at all. I had a really nice and peaceful breakfast here, even though a line outside of the restaurant. They do a really good job of blocking all that chaos outside, and makes you feel like you can really take your time and enjoy your meal here.
