After checking out of our hotel, we needed some to kill some time before flying back to Barcelona. We decided to get some breakfast at Vips. A typical Spanish breakfast isn’t very much so we decided to get an American/British style one at Vips.
After coming back from Madrid, we had to eat one more time. We went to the nearby mall hoping we could buy some meats and cheese to eat, but it was closed by the time we got there. Restaurants were still open. We settled for Baskonia so we could have one last Spanish meal.
After trying to get an awesome shot of the Madrid sunset, we started to explore more of the lively city. Patios were packed. Live music and parties everywhere. We found many cool places, and had difficulty trying to find somewhere to eat.
Everytime I make one of Jamie Oliver’s 15 minute meals, it always gets me want to make more meals from his cook book. But instead of picking another recipe for the same book again, I flipped through the 30 minute meal book, and decided to make the Spinach filo pie with cucumber salad and tomato salad. This meal […]
This weekend I wanted to have a light meal because of this heat wave, so I picked the Chorizo & Squid and couscous salad recipe from the 15 minute meals cook book. It’s been a while since I cooked anything from the book, I really forgot how easy these recipes are. There’s not much to do for this recipe. […]
While walking along the alley ways of Madrid looking for Puerto del Sol, we stumbled across Los Artesanos 1902. Just in time, was I was looking for a sugar fix.
You’re probably wondering why we are eating Chinese food in Spain. Well, we missed Chinese/Asian food, it was right below my friends’ Bed & Breakfast, and it was quite late and needed a quick bite before going to the Montjuic Magic Fountains.
Sunday morning I was craving some pancakes again, but instead of going to ihop, I decided to travel to New Westminster and try out Angelina’s. This breakfast and lunch joint has lots of traditional breakfasts as well as pannekoeks. I can get traditional breakfasts anywhere, but not pannekoeks besides DeDutch, or Dutch Wooden Shoe Cafe […]
Sunday family brunch, we had dim sum at Luxe Chinese Seafood Restaurant in Langley. Our first time visit, we had to wait for about 10 minutes for a table. It was a busy restaurant with constant lines at the door. To our surprise, dim sum here are on push carts! This was great because push […]
While walking towards Trevi Fountain from the Pantheon, we walked through a street with a bunch of restaurants. It was dinner time, and the street was packed with diners. The host of Hostaria De’ Pastini Pizzeria actually stopped us in our tracks to show us the menu. A bit rude, but it worked and we […]
I wanted to try a new sushi place in Surrey for lunch. Aomori is a small restaurant with table and private booth seatings. I picked the booth seating because it seemed neat. We ordered several items. I did not get a chance to try their actual lunch special. Salmon sashimi plate was pretty good. They […]
After touring around the Vatican on our first day in Rome, we got really hungry. From researching, I heard Carbonara was one of the main things to try while in Rome. So about 5 minutes away from the Vatican we chose to eat at La Pancia Felice.
