One of the perks about writing a food blog is when you magically get invited to exclusive media events.
This Monday we were invited to the Bombay Sapphire speakeasy party at Guilt & Company in gastown. In the party we sampled cocktails made by Master Mixologist, Merlin Griffiths from the UK, and tasted food made by Chef Corbin Tomaszeski.
We tried 3 different cocktails and they were all so dangerously delicious. I’m not familiar with gin at all, but I think I like Bombay Sapphire. Chef Corbin prepared 3 complimentary hors d’oeuvres that also utilized the gin, as well as to compliment the cocktails.
We finally met some of the usual people that we tweet with (@rickchung), and also other food bloggers we’ve never met before (604 Foodtography and Gourmetcetera). And of course it’s always fun to hang out with Shermans food Adventures, Follow me Foodie and lots of others that I won’t name drop.
