Day 2! What it’s only day 2? urghhh.
The day seems a lot longer when I am on Usana Reset.
I wish I could have a vietnamese sub, and a bowl of sodium filled ramen noodles would be real nice right now. I wish today was day 5.
wishful thinking, wishful thinking.
Here’s how my day 2 goes down:
Breakfast: Strawberry shake and health pack
The strawberry shake went down a lot better today. It didn’t taste as artificial as the day before, could this mean I am used to the taste?
Day Snack: Oatmeal Bar
Around 12pm, I started munching on the oatmeal bar. Again, it wasn’t like I was hungry, I just wanted to chew something. This oatmeal bar took me about 30mins to finish.
Lunch: Vanilla Shake
I was thinking of skipping this meal because I just wasn’t hungry. I made myself the shake anyway, thinking skipping this meal will only make me eat my dinner earlier, and therefore mess up my eating schedule. I better stick to the program.
I was thinking, since strawberry tasted good this morning, the rest should be ok. The vanilla shake tasted worse than the day before. Not sure what it was, but I didn’t like it today at all.
Exercise: Walking dog in Bear Creek Park trying to find Matt Damon filming a movie
I walked for about 40mins. I saw a helicopter flying up and down, saw the film crew, no Matt Damon was sighted.
Afternoon Snack: Half a peanut butter bar, one whole grapefruit
It’s official, the peanut butter bar is my favorite item in the reset kit. It’s delicious. Grapefruit was amazing, again favorite part of my day, eating fresh produce.
Dinner: Chocolate shake, the rest of peanut butter bar, health pack
Chocolate shake still tastes the best out of all 3 flavors. One of the things I really don’t like about the reset kit is the pungent vitamins I got to take. I just don’t like the after taste, but today I found a solution. I took them with my chocolate shake. No vitamin after taste lingering in my mouth, just chocolate, awesome!
Day 2 felt really long, but it wasn’t as bad as day 1. It doesn’t feel like I am on a body cleanse or even a weight loss program because I am eating so constantly. Except when I think about what I should have for the next meal, I’d get reminded that I can only eat whats given in the kit and a couple servings of fresh fruit.
Day 2′s challenge was the thought of doing it for another 3 days. Mind over matter. I can do this…. right?
