    I use Nikon D90 with 35mm F/1.8 for food, and 11-16mm F/2.8 for restaurants.

    I’m Alex with Shaka Shaka Squid, one of the new food vendors at this years Richmond Night Market (Riverrock location). I enjoyed following your blog and I would like to welcome you to try some of our food if you ever find yourself in the Richmond area.

    We started Shaka Shaka Squid with four friends, (Alex, Wilhelm, Aubi & Ray) and our mission statement is to provide a fun experience for our guests at the night market. We strive to provide quality tasting, consistent deep fried squid and also maintain a friendly and engaging environment for our guests. We achieve this by socializing with our visitors and often taking photos with returning customers with the use of social media (facebook and instagram).

    Our deep fried squid comes in three flavors; Shaka (Original Salt and Pepper), Sweet Seaweed & Spicy. I highly recommend trying our sweet seaweed as its a bit different from what the night markets have offered in the past.

    Please come by our booth #F7 and try out a large order of our deep fried squid on the house. Just mention your name and blog.

    Hey!

    Just wanted to share with you our Fringe show ‘INDUSTRY: the Food Must Go Out’ cause it’s pretty cool, and we believe Globe and Mail readers will get a real kick out of it, as it’s local, 100% unique and involves local food and wine.

    It’s a show about the restaurant industry and it’s performed in an actual restaurant! Edible Canada Bistro on Granville Island to be exact, and it stars 3 award winning comedians who also ‘actually’ work at Edible Canada. A comedians we have collectively earned over ten 5 star reviews with our previous Fringe shows.

    A show like this has never been done before. It’s a comedy but it is also an ode to all the hard working Industry workers of Vancouver. The bar will be open during the show for some cheap late night drinks and there will be a small opportunity for an audience member to get a delicious plate of food during the show made by Chef Nik.
