Café Presse

Café Presse

Whenever we visit Seattle, we always have the tendency to eat lunch late because we’d always have a big breakfast. We had a late lunch at Cafe Presse this time knowing most items here are small and we won’t be overly stuffed by dinner time.

We’ve been to quite a few of the Tom Douglas restaurants in Seattle over the past couple years, and have loved each one of them. This time we needed a place to eat for brunch, and Dahlia Lounge was surprisingly available.

Serious Pie

Whenever we are in Seattle visiting our friend, we always try to put Serious Pie on our list of places to eat. It’s been a few years, and we’ve yet to go because it’s always busy. We went during happy hour the day before going to Portland at around 3PM. They offered specials such as half size pizzas for just $6  each. They also had some other appetizers, so we ended up ordering one of everything on the food side.

Elysian Brewing Co. is a brewery/pub in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. Strangely enough, I had purchased a few of their bottles from a small boutique wine shop in Bellingham just hours before. We came to celebrate a friend’s belated birthday and new job.

The Kingfish Cafe

When in American, you must get southern food! I made a trip down to Seattle a night before we were supposed to go camping at Cannon beach. I was craving something meaty, so my Seattle friends took me to The Kingfish Cafe for some southern BBQ grub.  I instantly got a good vibe walking into this place. It was open and cozy, it’s got a nice little patio too.

Mike’s Noodle House in Chinatown, Seattle is my favorite place to get quick and cheap congee and noodles. Consider this place like Vancouver’s Congee noodle house but much smaller.
