The Salt Lick Bar-B-Que, Austin Airport

I was told by a few people to check out Salt Lick Bar-B-Que, however there was none close to where I was staying. They have quite a few locations in Austin, so I decided to try it at the airport on my way home.

Michi Ramen

After a day of shopping at Round Rock Premium Outlets, we were too tired to go back to downtown Austin for some food. So we drove around our hotel looking for a place to eat. We were kind of missing Asian food so we decided to try out Michi Ramen.

Ms P’s Electric Cock, Austin

We wanted to go shopping in Austin, so we went to the South Congress area to check out their boutique shops. In that area was also Ms. P’s Electric Cock who specialize in Fried Chicken and Waffles.

John Mueller Meat Co., Austin

Searsucker, Austin

Finally met up with GourmetFury for Happy Hour at Searsucker in Austin. Lots of places have happy hour between 3 and 6PM with lots of good cheap eats and drinks. This restaurant is one of them.

Foreign & Domestic

Foreign & Domestic was my coworkers choice. We had to go on Tuesday because they have cheap $2 beers, and also $1 fresh shucked oysters.

Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden, Austin

After dinner at Qui, we still wanted to go out for some beers, so we walked over to Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden because they have about 100 different beers on tap. I also lost a bit, so my punishment was lots of beer.

Qui, Austin

This was the meal I was looking forward to, just because Qui belongs to the Top Chef Texas winner Paul Qui. The menu features lots of fancy takes on traditional Filipino dishes.

Lambert’s Downtown Barbecue, Austin

We weren’t sure what to eat on our first night in Austin, but I knew we wanted BBQ. Franklin’s has crazy lineups, and Mueller’s is a bit far away, and often runs out in the afternoon. The others were a bit far of a walk since we were just travelling all day. We asked our […]
