Artichoke Basille’s Pizza was the second pizza shop I ate at during my 14 hour layover in NYC, and I shared a slice of artichoke pizza with my friends. There are several locations of Artichoke Basille’s; I walked past 2 of them, and both of them were super packed at around 11pm.
While strolling on high line park in New York city, we saw L’Arte Del Gelato‘s pop up shop and got ourselves some gelato (and I’m so glad we did!). I ordered a small pistacchio gelato for under $4, and it turned out to be the best gelato I’ve ever had.
New York style pizza is one of the many things I missed the most from New York. When I had a 14 hour layover in NYC last month, the first thing on my mind was: get some pizza!
I didn’t have White Castle on my list of places to eat in New York. I actually completely forgot about it until my friend mentioned it. So, on my last night, I made sure I stopped by White Castle (and Shake Shack) on my way back to my hotel after watching Sleep No More.
Eataly is a huge Italian market in Manhattan that is co-owned by Mario Batali. It offers a market, as well as many different restaurants all within the same building. I had to check it out, but I left it until the very last evening to see it. And I couldn’t even really “see” it.
Bouchon in Napa Valley, was one of my favourite birthday’s ever. The next morning, we went back just to have some pastries from their bakery. I was happy to see that there were a couple of Bouchon Bakery locations in Manhattan as well.
Carmine’s is an old school family-style Italian restaurant with two locations in New York. We visited the Time Square location, and it is a huge space, but still very busy late at night. I originally removed it from my original wish list because I found out they serve the pasta family-style. Basically, I thought it […]
Lombardi’s is one of the two pizza places I wanted to try in NY. Grimaldi’s was the other restaurant, but it had a 2 hour wait when we visited. I had to try some famous NY pizza before I left.
Gazala Place was a restaurant that my coworker and her husband found while exploring the Hell’s Kitchen area by our hotel. What drew us here, was the spray painted picture of Guy Fieri signifying that they were on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
After dinner at Gazala Place, I wanted to eat a little bit more, so Beipas’ friend said I should try Empanada Mama. I thought it was a great idea, because empanadas are not too big, and I should be able to eat a couple without getting too full. Empanada Mama was just a short walk […]
Wafels and Dinges is a food cart with a few locations around NYC. I first saw their food truck while walking towards Time Square. I wanted to try it, but we had already eaten, and were on our way to catch a show. Luckily for me, they have a location at Central Park near my […]
Halal Guys is a popular place in NYC during lunch time and after late drunken nights. Apparently it is amazing when you are drunk.
