After watching 4th of July fireworks, my friends and I hopped into a cab and asked the cab driver to bring us to “The best deep dish pizza in town”. The cab driver dropped us off at Gino’s East and reassured us, that this place has the best pizza in Chicago.
Everybody deserves a nice ice cream sundae on a hot summer day. In the midst of walking around Chicago downtown in the heatwave, my friend and I hopped in to Ghirardelli’s Chocolate Shop for some iced cold treats.
I walked into The Meatloaf Bakery while waiting for a bus in Lincoln Park, Chicago. It was actually located right in front of a bus stop. The store name caught my friend and I’s attention, and after about 5 seconds of contemplating of whether going in would make us miss our bus, we walked in.
My friend and I discovered Bourgeois Pig by accident when we were on our way to the Fullerton train station in Lincoln Park, Chicago. We didn’t have much time to eat or look for breakfast, and a pair passing by heartily recommended it so we popped in.
I went to Harry Caray’s Tavern for dinner when I visited Navy Pier in Chicago. It was one of the places I ate at while in Chiacgo purely because of its convenience. I was at Navy Pier for a least a couple hours, and this place seemed busy the whole time we were there so we took that as a good sign.
First time visiting Chicago, I was super excited about trying those deep dish pizzas. Giordano’s Pizza is probably the most well known place for deep dish pies in Chicago. I thought Giordano’s was just 1 particular restaurant, but it turned out that it’s quite a franchise within downtown Chicago. I saw about 4 Giordano restaurants in downtown Chicago alone.
Luke’s Italian Beef was the first restaurant I visited in Chicago. It is located in The loop of downtown Chicago.
