Baru Latino

First dine out of the year for the MePlusFood crew, we went to Baru Latino.

I picked this place mainly because I wanted to try their paella and other Latin American food.

This weekend we went to Chambar for dinner with our guest writers to celebrate year 1 of MePlusFood.com

We had a great meal there that lasted 3 hours from appetizers to desserts.

For appetizers we tried the Poutine, Grilled Ostrich, Foie Gras, and Bison Carpaccio.

R.TL Regional Tasting Lounge Yaletown

I’ve been wanting to eat at R.TL for a long time since I heard about how they updated their menu every few months and focused on a new region each time. I was invited to the Food Blogger event a few months ago, and had a good time talking with the new chef, manager, and other bloggers, and trying a few of their dishes. I bought a coupon ($11 for $25) from GoodNews.com, and finally went back a few weeks ago.
