Bakeries in Richmond
Kam Do is a HK style cafe restaurant in Richmond. Near the entrance area of the restaurant was their bakery section. The bakery had traditional Chinese pastries like the pineapple buns and egg tarts. I was planning on getting some for dessert but our dinner ended up being extremely filling.
The first time I tried Diplomat Bakery, was when my brother brought home some of their Blueberry Cheesecake a few years ago, and I thought it was delicious. One of the best cakes I ever had at the time. I really wanted to go back, but never made the time out to go to Steveston. After high tea at Adorabelle, we made our way over to Diplomat since we were kind of close by. It’s a really popular place for cyclists to have a snack.
My second high tea experience was part one of my best friends Bachelorette party (yup, I went to one, and went to her husband’s stag the day before). I believe they had been to Meloty before and just thought it was OK. They decided to try it out again. This place is in the same complex as Richmond Sushi and NCIX. The interior is really nice and fancy, and not really loaded with flowery decor and tea sets. I like the style in here a lot more than at Adonia.
