I took a day off to play a round of golf with some friends. It almost was a wash and a waste of time because it was pouring the night before, and drizzling early in the morning. But, I couldn’t waste my day off, so we went anyway, and the sun came shining. Post-golf we […]
More golf. More eats with my buddies. Not sure what to eat, we just decided to let Urban Spoon lead us to a place near by. Sandar’s Thai Garden came up, and it sounded delicious to two us. The other was a bit scared of the heat.
Tasty Indian Bistro is one the fanciest Indian restaurants I’ve been to. Located on Scott road, the restaurant was like Earls for Indian food, very grand, clean, and modern.
Montgomery’s Cottage Lunch is one of the many restaurants that serve fish n chips on the the quieter side of the white rock strip. I’m not sure what made me pick here over the other places, maybe it’s their casual ordering window, but the fish n chips here were everything I was craving for.
Octopus Garden is a small, but nicely decorated restaurant in Vancouver. We didn’t make any reservations, but were seated almost right away. After looking at the rather limited menu, we decided on the following items: Agedashi Tofu, Oh! Sashimi Garden Salad, Octopus Nigiri Sampler, and Tuna & Salmon Sashimi.
A few weeks ago, I took my friends to Pearl Hot Pot for their first time. I have always enjoyed my meals at this restaurant. I love the idea of having your own personal hot pot where you can customize the items that you want, cook anything to your liking, and not having to share […]
Texx Big Burger is located on 108 Ave by a couple of our favorite places to eat in Surrey – Pho Tau Bay and Sushi Zen. They serve all types of fresh hand made burgers. If you’re stomach is big enough you should try their Super Texx Burger. At $22.99 it’s probably Man vs Food […]
Last Saturday before going off to see the Vancouver Whitecaps beat San Jose 2-nil, I stopped by Eat Chicken Wraps in Robson square for a quick lunch. 2 of their signature items off the menu that I tried were the Hoisin Chicken Wrap, and the Kung Pao Chicken Lettuce Wrap; both were delicious.
I’ve known of Boom Beer for quite a while now, but I never knew exactly what it was. It’s actually a bit hidden next to a larger Korean restaurant next door. I’m also not sure if it’s actually called Boom Beer, as the name on the front was Boom Bee (did the “r” fall off?), […]
Before going to Rogers Arena to choose our half season package for the upcoming hockey season, my brother chose to eat at eight 1/2. My brother ate there a few weeks before and enjoyed it. We had a couple hours to kill too.
Another expiring Groupon, another rushed visit. If it wasn’t for Groupon, I probably would never have found out about Bistro 72. I knew of its parent restaurant Old SurreyRestaurant which has been there forever, but I never knew they opened up this small little restaurant right below. I looked at the menu, and was pretty […]
Sunday night, I brought my family to Five doors down in White Rock, and never had I thought it would turned out to be one of the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had.
Patisserie Lebeau is a restaurant I walked past many times and never new it existed! Probably because it’s located between office buildings on West 2nd. Last week I had a bit of time to kill in the neighbourhood, and decided to grab a quick lunch here.
Last month I was at Western Lake Chinese Seafood with a couple old friends having dim sum. While driving by this restaurant trying to find parking, I could already see a long line of people waiting out the door. Good thing I made a reservation! or so I thought..
