After a day of snowboarding at cypress mountain, we were looking forward to having a late lunch at Burger Heaven in New Westminster. At 2pm on a Saturday the small burger restaurant was packed to our surprise. We needed to wait 20 minutes for a table for 3, so we decided to get take out instead.
I headed to New Westminister because I was craving for tacos at Taqueria Playa Tropical. This mexican place is usually pretty quiet, but for some reason it was packed on the day I went. Starving and not willing to wait, I decided to walk over to its next door food joint, Burger Burger to get some… burgers.
A few Sunday mornings ago I had breakfast at the Waffle House in New Westminster.
To get the best of sweet and savoury breakfast worlds, I decided to get the Big Waffle Breakfast. The breakfast came with a waffle, 2 eggs, ham and toast. The waffles here were quite thin and didn’t have a lot of flavour. For a place called the waffle house, it was a let down. My eggs were very buttery, there were a lot of residual grease on my ham and plate. Three words to sum up my meal, greasy, bland, and salty (ham).
We caught one of the Canucks games at River’s Reach Pub in New Westminster. Just like any other times we visit a pub to watch the Canucks game, we ordered a bunch of food to share.
