I haven’t been to a Boston Pizza in years. I used to go to this place quite a bit with friends while I was still in university. I didn’t have a job or much money, and also didn’t know any better. At that time, I hardly ventured out of the ordinary. I decided to go back with my brother for lunch one day since it’s been a while, and it was Pasta Tuesday.

When I’m in need of breakfast food, IHOP never fails. After a failed attempt at getting breakfast at Chez Meme Baguette Bistro, we resorted to IHOP to fill our hungry stomachs.

My brother wanted to have lunch one day, and I wasn’t craving any Asian food this time, and haven’t been to Red Robin in a while, so I thought, why not? Their burgers are pretty good.

Earls is right across the street from where I work. They have a fairly large outdoor patio to enjoy the sun, though there isn’t much to look at on Kingsway, unless you want to look at my office building.

Last week after my sister’s convocation, we went to Milestones on Lougheed for a celebration dinner. I wasn’t all that enthusiastic about dinner at first, because I was never really a fan of milestones. But this summer the menu featured 3 items from Top Chef Canada, I’ve seen the episode and I was looking forward to trying those winning dishes from the challenge.

I haven’t been to a Sammy J Peppers for years now. It was kind of cool when we were in high school. I remember them having hot waitresses and lots of different spicy sauces. Me and my brother decided to go one day because we weren’t sure where to eat. I thought it was closer to work but it ended up being a 15 minute walk. When we got there for lunch, they had some group there giving a presentation about insurance. Kind of a strange thing to walk into.

There’s nothing like pigging out on a butt load of wings after an epic day of snowboarding right? Especially when it is cheap wings day.

After a failed attempt to visit Chill for some alcoholic bubble tea (because they are closed for renovations) we had no back up plan. So we looked across the street and saw White Spot. I didn’t really want to go because I just went a few days before for Pirate Pak day, but we couldn’t think of anything else, and my friend really wanted to try the Blue Berry “pie” that our other friend was raving about.

I stumbled upon the Avalon Dairy Deli Store while I was stuck in traffic on the way home a couple weeks ago. Avalon Dairy Deli is located in the heart of Burnaby’s business park on north Fraser way. Knowing that we were going to be stuck in traffic for at least another hour, and there was no point of returns, we were lucky that our cars stopped right in front of the store.

Working at SFU, my team goes here fairly often (once every month or two), whenever we have a birthday or finish the production of courses for the next semester, so I’ve tried quite a few things on the menu. I wouldn’t say I love the place, but it’s the closest restaurant to us! It’s pretty much the only place close that you can sit down and eat.
