Restaurants in Australia: Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast.

Top Hot Pot, Brisbane, Australia

For our last meal, we decided to visit Sunny Bank, which is Brisbane’s version of Richmond aka the place with all the Asian food. It was about a 30 minute drive from the city, but there was all types of Asian food in the area.

Vapiano Soul, Gold Coast, Australia

My first experience with Vapianos was in Berlin. My friend raved about it. Unfortunately with our luck, we went to a bad station with a broken pasta boiler, which left our pasta pretty gross and gummy. It probably was just an off day because, I guess it can’t really be bad with the amount of […]

LR Sushi

The first time walking around Brisbane CBD, we saw a huge line up at this sushi place. We wondered why. Many people who have visited Australia said that Japanese food isn’t nearly as good as it is in Vancouver. We wanted to see what the fuss was about at LR Sushi.

The Bun Mobile, Brisbane, Australia

The Bun Mobile is one of the places my friend wanted to try while in Brisbane. But while she was there, and during my first few days in Oz, they were away in States. Lucky for us, they came back right when we were back in Brisbane for the final leg of our trip. They are the […]

Meatball & Wine Bar, Melbourne, Australia

Meatball & Wine Bar was supposed to be part of our three-part dinner from the night before, but they were too busy. We decided to have them for lunch on our last day in Melbourne.

Koko Black, Melbourne, Australia

There are actually quite a few Koko Black locations in Melbourne. They are well known for delicious chocolates. They have a store where you can buy a bunch of chocolates by the piece, as well as prepackaged items. We bought a bunch to take home, and ordered a few chocolates to taste and eat upstairs.

Mamasita, Melbourne, Austraila

After a long walk around South Bank to checkout the fire show at Crown Casino, we had another small meal at Mamasita. We stopped by earlier in the night, but they had a really long line down the stairs. This place is popular!

Barista 101, Melbourne, Australia

On our last day in Melbourne, I didn’t actually have a place in mind for brunch. We didn’t want to eat too much, or go too far away because we knew we wanted Meatball & Wine for lunch before flying back to Brisbane. Everything on Flinders Lane has been great so far, so we just […]

MoVida Bar de Tapas, Melbourne, Australia

MoVida Bar de Tapas was one of the places that I really wanted to visit in Melbourne. The entrance is in an alley filled with cool grafitti. This was supposed to be the start of a crazy eating night, so we tried to pace ourselves.

Le Petit Gateau, Melbourne, Australia

This was a not on my radar at all, and luckily my friends girlfriend recommended this place. It’s a nice small cafe with the most delicious cakes. By far, this is was my favourite dessert place, ever.

Cumulus Inc., Melbourne, Australia

This was the brunch place that I really wanted to try in Melbourne. They are fairly popular throughout the day and it also turns into a wine bar at night. Luckily, they were literally steps away from our Apartment too. That location is awesome.

Breizoz Creperie, Melbourne, Australia

Our friends knew that we need to make the most out of our trip to Melbourne, so even though we were stuffed from our pasta dinner, we stopped by another one of their favourites – Breizoz Creperie.
