I bought the Shun Premier 7-inch Santoku Knife almost a year ago when it was about $70. Retail is about $180, so it was a deal. Initially, I didn’t like the feel of Shun knives as they looked very old school, and the handle didn’t f
eel so ergonomic in my hand when I tested out the classics. This knife has changed my mind.
Yesterday I purchased a Global 8 inch Cook’s Knife at Ming Wo as my first ever chef’s knife. First time knife shopping, I pretty much made my decision within 5 minutes of seeing and holding the knife.
